QTREX Quantum Revenue Jumps 438% After AME Acquisition

QTREX Quantum announced revenues of $1.55 million for the first half of 2026, marking a 438% increase from $289,000 reported in the same period last year. The company, listed on Nasdaq as QTEX, specializes in cryogenic connectivity and additively manufactured electronics for superconducting quantum computers. This significant revenue growth is primarily due to a business acquisition completed just 86 days before the close of the reporting period, indicating that the surge is a result of timing rather than organic expansion.

Financial Highlights

Specifically, QTREX’s AME and Quantum segment, integrated after an acquisition on April 2026, are responsible for all of the company’s H1 2026. This means the acquired revenue is distinct from any pre-existing organic revenue, and the prior-year total of $289,000 does not include the newly purchased business. The company’s financial figures are detailed below:

  • Revenue: $1.55 million, consisting of $1.24 million from products and $313,000 from services.
  • Gross profit: $944,000, resulting in a gross margin of approximately 61%.
  • Operating expenses: $7.9 million, an increase from $7.2 million in H1 2025.
  • Operating loss: $6.9 million; Net loss: $6.4 million, or $0.14 per share.
  • Cash, cash equivalents, and deposits: $10.7 million as of June 30, 2026, up from $3.2 million at the end of 2025.

QTREX paid $2.0 million in cash for the AME platform at closing, with contingent payments linked solely to cash collected from acquired inventory and property. A registered direct offering on August 20, 2026, raised approximately $9.2 million net, which is not reflected in the June 30 cash balance.

Management’s Perspective

CEO Dagi Ben-Noon stated that QTREX initiated a joint technical evaluation with one of the top five quantum computing companies less than two months after entering the sector. The company showcased an interconnect architecture capable of supporting 17,280 coaxial lines per cryogenic stage at IEEE Quantum Week in Toronto. Its new INSU300 material, launched on September 23, 2026, is currently undergoing testing by two government and defense organizations. Additionally, a U.S. interconnect manufacturer has successfully moved an AME system into production after achieving a 97% yield in validation, according to the company.

QTREX anticipates announcing further commercial agreements in Q4 2026 and plans to provide its 2027 outlook at that time. The company’s focus on solving wiring density and thermal load issues is crucial for scaling superconducting machines, addressing challenges similar to those highlighted by initiatives like the recently announced Virginia Quantum Hub. Though the reported revenue is substantial, its acquired nature means that the upcoming quarter’s guidance will be a key indicator for future performance.
